Handcrafted products developed from grass to garment

What started as an interest in knitting has grown into a small farm of cashmere goats, sheep and a few alpaca.

Here we grow fibers for spinning, quilt batting and uniquely designed yarns.

Our latest yarns in wool and alpaca are being developed while roaming in the pasture ! They will be spun up onto cones or skeins. All natural fibers are selected and sorted to make fine yarns with a purpose. In summer months we dye some of our yarns, both white and natural-colored, making a variety of richness in shades. The fibers selected give good stitch definition in knitted garment fabrics. These farm raised treasures are curently being designed into handcrafted sweaters, and accessories. Our patterns are for "classic threads." Check back in fall for updates. Also available are fleeces from a recent clip.

  • Previous Cashmere goat shows and clinics were happy events filled with lots of quality cashmere both on and off the hoof in VT and VA. 2020 Cashmere Goat Association membership is now due. In light of the world events currently, many fiber shows and agricultural events have been cancelled leaving shepherd and goatherds with limited means to reach the public or trade yarn for feed, for themselves and the animals. Please support your local farm and fiber producers! CGA
